What Is GMO?

GMO refers to genetically modified organisms. These are plants made by gene splicing. Gene splicing combines DNA from different species. This process creates genes that do not occur naturally.

Why is Non-Soy Important?

Did you know that 90% of the soybeans we get in the US have been genetically modified? You may ask, “Is this really a problem?” Well, since GMO’s were introduced in 1996 animal studies have shown the effects of genetically engineered soy. These effects include birth defects, allergies and offspring deaths. These results were five times higher than they were before the introduction of genetically engineered soy.
